DID THEY KNOW? DID THEY KNOW THAT WHAT THEY WERE PREPARING FOR WOULD BE SO GIGANTIC AND HISTORICAL?

Just imagine. I mean, take a moment and think of some of the Greats. Those who poured out, it seems, all they had within them to a cause that was determined to change in some way the course of history and touch many lives. Their talents and passions superseded the standard norm of their time. Their existence was so powerful that no matter how life treated them, they could be remembered for the sole contribution that they gave to society. Did they know? Did they know that what they were preparing for would be so gigantic and historical? Was what they contributed completed before they passed on?

For example, you would think that what Thurgood Marshall accomplished in just being the first African American Justice broke a barrier that propelled a cause to move forward to the point that the next Justice in his place was also African American., Thurgood Marshall’s father taught him to argue and debate growing up. Those debates were preparing him to be a lawyer and the first African American Justice. It could not have been easy. Perhaps both of his parents had seen in their son something that they knew would be impactful, not only for the African American race but also for many more beyond that. You can always count on Actor Michael Landon for a family gathering around the TV.

You know those actors that look like they never change over the years. Michael Landon is another name that stands out. Growing up with his shows were inspiring. From Bonanza, Little House On The Prairie, and Highway To Heaven. Even though he performed in other movies, these shows gave viewers good family entertainment and biblical values for decades. You can count on a moral at the end of the story. How can you not laugh with Robin Williams in the room? He was no doubt a great comedian. He could use his creative abilities right on the spot. It is stated that he was one of the best of his times. Even in the midst of personal struggles one’s talents can shine through. He has given the world much laughter to remember. There are too many to note, but there are so many musical talents.

They have made there way through good and bad times to bring to their viewers a unique style and vive. They will always be remembered and their music will continue to be listened to from all spectrums of the world. That is powerful. Musician’s such as Luther Vandross have a unique sound. One note will paralyze you to a point where the music is so soothing. It seems beyond the natural human ability.

There are so many Great Musicians that have passed on, but their legacy will always be remembered. Of course, Luther is just a drop-in-the bucket. There is such greatness all around us and perhaps in us.
